The College of Criminology started its formal operation in SY 1994-1995 with the offering of four-year course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Criminology major in Police Administration. It started with two pioneering sections of 80 freshmen students.

      During its first year of operation, the department was placed under the umbrella of the College of Education which was headed by the Dean of Education, Dr. Salome S. Cariño. In 1995 to 1996, it was transferred to the College of Arts and Science under the Deanship of Dr. Prescilo L. Buslig and from 1996 to date, the College of Criminology was separated and introduced as a new academic department in St. Ferdinand College. This is in line with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) mandate and in preparation for the recognition of the degree of Bachelor of Science in Criminology.

 

      Temporary Permit No. 076, s. 1994 was issued by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for the offering of Bachelor of Science in Criminology.

 

      Recognition No. 040, s. 1997 was issued by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for the Recognition of 4-year Bachelor of Science in Criminology.

 

      In March 1998, the Pioneer batch graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Criminology and took the Criminology Licensure Examination in September of the same year.

 

      In the September 1999, Criminology Licensure Examination, SFC-Criminology was adjudged as No. 5 in the National Institutional Board Performance by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

 

      In the Septermber 2000, Criminology Licensure Examination, one of the SFC Board Candidateswas ranked and adjudged as No. 7 in the National Individual Board Performance by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

 

      In the September 2001, Criminology Licensure Examination, SFC Criminology was adjudged as No. 7 in the National Institutional Board Performance by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

 

      In the September 2002, Criminology Licensure Examination, one of SFC Board Candidates was ranked and adjudged as No. 12 in the National Individual Board Performance by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

 

      In October 2002, SFC-Criminology was given the Certificate of Authorization to offer Bachelor of Science in Criminology under the ETEEAP endeavor, a joined undertaking by the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) and Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

 

      In March 25, 2003, two (2) ETEEAP beneficiaries underwent Oral Revalida and consequently were awarded the Bachelor of Science in Criminology diploma during the regular graduation rites held in 2003.

 

      In August 2003, Criminology Licensure Examination, SFC Criminology was adjudged as No. 6 in the National Institutional Board Performance by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

 

      In December 5, 2003, five (5) ETEEAP beneficiaries underwent Oral Revalida and consequently were awarded the Bachelor of Science in Criminology diploma during the regular graduation rites held in 2004.

 

      In August 2005, the College of Criminology was visited by the Philippin Association of Colleges and Universities on Accreditation (PACUCOA) for Level I Candidate status and on October 3, 2005, the Criminology Program was granted Level I Candidate Status.

 

      In March 11, 2006, six (6) ETEEAP beneficiaries underwent Oral Revalida and consequently were awarded th Bachelor of Science in Criminology diploma during the regular graduation rites held in 2006.

 

      In March 16, 2007, three (3) ETEEAP beneficiaries underwent Oral Revalida and consequently were awarded the Bachelor of Science in Criminology diploma during the regular graduation rites held in 2007.
